This two-bedroom cottage is just a mile from the town of Friday Harbor but offers a perfect way to get away from it all with a lush back yard that looks out over the bay with incredible views of Jackson Beach. At low tide you can step off the sea wall on the property and walk across to explore to your heart's content. When you're done with your day, the sound of gently running water outside will lull you to sleep Fiber internet connection allows your whole family to work or remote school.

Good to know

Constructed in 2018, the house is a cozy 1000 square feet with two bedrooms and a high end custom queen wall bed to the side of the living room. Full kitchen, washer, dryer and Internet access are all provided. The jewel of the space is the views from the living area and bedrooms across Jackson Beach to the south. They're unobstructed and unforgettable. You'll be located on one of the only saltwater rivers in the western United States, a fascinating natural oddity where fresh water melds with salt and then flows back with the tides. The house also contains a display of tools and arrowheads found at the nearby archaeological site dating from 2,500 to 5,000 years old. Pets are welcome - please send a message to talk about the pet policy.

Parking is tight, so there is a strict limit of bringing a maximum of two cars with you. Pets are welcome with the following policy: 1. Pets must be in control on the property and stay within the property lines (yard is not enclosed) 2. Pets must do no damage to the house. 3. Pets are not allowed to sleep on the beds as it is often very difficult to ensure every hair is removed. 4. All dog poop must be picked up from the yard, bags are supplied in the dispenser on the back deck. Registration Number: PCUP00-17-0011

1.Property Address. The vacation rental that you have rented consists of one two-bedroom multi-family residence house located at 4965 #A Pear Point Road, Friday Harbor, Washington 98250. 2.Arrival and Departure. Check in is at 4:00 p.m., and check out is at 10:00 a.m. Alternate times for arrival or departure can be coordinated and arranged in advance by contacting Nigel Oswald of Cannery Row, LLC, the company that is responsible for management of this vacation rental. 3.Contact Information. In case of an emergency, please contact Nigel Oswald at 415 370 5755 If it is a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 immediately. The phone number for the San Juan County Sherriff’s Office is 360 378 4151. 4. Use of Property. Please be considerate of neighbors in the community and please do not drive faster than 5 MPH along the access driveway, when arriving to and departing from the property. Please also watch out for wildlife, young children, and the other residents on the property. 5.No Smoking. Smoking is absolutely prohibited in the rental unit and on the surrounding property. Fire hazards are a great concern here on San Juan Island, and no open flames, candles, or fireworks are permitted anywhere on the premises, other than the fire pit. 6.Occupancy. The occupancy for this unit was determined prior to your arrival and in accordance with the San Juan County Code. The maximum number of occupants is limited to Six (6) guests. If you have questions about this, please contact Nigel Oswald of Cannery Row, LLC. 7.Conservation. Water is a scarce resource on San Juan Island, and the community appreciates you being mindful and considerate when using water during your stay. 8.No Unreasonable Disturbances. Please conduct yourself in a manner that is respectful of others living on the property and neighboring landowners, and in such a way that there are no unreasonable disturbances to area residents. 9.Nuisances. Please do not use any equipment or materials that can produce unreasonable vibration, noise, dust, smoke, odor, or electrical interference to the detriment of neighboring landowners. 10.Noise. Please do not play music or create noises that are audible to those outdoors after 9:00 p.m. 11.No Trespassing. There is a map of the property boundaries in the rental unit that clearly depicts the property boundaries and points of access to the shoreline. Please do not, under any circumstances, travel beyond these boundaries since land beyond those limits is privately owned property. Trespassing on to private property is absolutely prohibited in San Juan County. 12. Parking. Parking is tight at Cannery row and you may bring a maximum of 2 cars. Please pull as far forward as possible in order to give space for neighbors to turn around. Thank you for respecting the foregoing rules of conduct. The place is exactly as shown in the pictures. The interior is clean, nicely decorated, and the view is breathtaking. From the moment of the booking, communication with the host has been seamless. We booked an earlier ferry due to the availabilities. We were prepared to do some sightseeing until the listed check in time of 4pm. Nigel promptly notified me when the house was ready which was a full 2 hrs early. It really was a pleasant surprise. The house is easy to find and check-in was a breeze. The location feels secluded and yet very close to all the local attractions, ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Friday Harbor, and would love to stay here again.

Excellent place to stay if you are in the island. The house had a spectacular view into the lagoon nearby. Would definitely recommend! The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals at home.

We had an amazing stay at Nigel’s place and absolutely loved it! It’s the perfect vacation rental nestled in a peaceful neighborhood. The backyard patio overlooking the bay with water and birds was very relaxing. The home was clean and well stocked with all the amenities. Nigel was very sweet, friendly and responsive in our communications and it was a pleasant experience staying at his place. We’ll definitely will be coming back here on our next trip -highly recommend this beautiful home!

We had the best week here with our dog and new baby. My husband and dog loved watching the birds in the lagoon. Very comfortable and relaxing, close to town but feels removed. Thanks for sharing your amazing place with us!

We had a lovely stay at Nigel’s place. It was my husband and I and our 29 year old daughter. We wandered over to Jackson Beach, walked to town, picked blackberries in the side yard, saw a deer and two fawns wonder by the back door, sat outside and watched the tide/stream go in and out. Had all the amenities we desired including wine glasses, extra blankets, pizza slicer, hot pads, and best of all, a washer & dryer. Thank you, Nigel!
